Information about directexchange
When two households exchange housing with each other, it is called direct exchange. Both exchange parties must meet the requirements for direct exchange and be able to prove these with any certificate that you attach with your application, the requirements can be found under Policy for direct exchange of housing.

Have you found someone to change with?
Fill out the application form for direct exchange and send it to us. Please note that it must be filled in by both you and the person you are going to exchange housing with. The application must be submitted to us at least (2) two months before the exchange is to be carried out. Each application is considered separately, we have no general permits.
In the event of a direct exchange, the old lease is always canceled and an apartment inspection must be done. If the inspection shows that one of the parties becomes liable for damages (must pay, for example, damage to the floor, cylinder replacement) then these costs must be paid before the replacement can be carried out, the costs cannot be transferred. Replacements are only accepted between current contract holders. Exchange applies only to tenancy tights to tenancy rights.
The purpose of the exchange should be to live permanently in the new home. Car parks and garages with separate agreements are not included in a direct exchange.
Policy for direct exchange of housing
For us to approve a direct exchange, there must be considerable reasons, such reasons can be changes in family, financial or work situation. You must have had your lease with us at Vidingehem for at least 12 months. In addition, the new tenant must be approved, according to our rental policy.
We make the final assessment of whether the replacement can be carried out. The conditions for making a direct exchange are stated in Chapter 12, section 35 of Jordabalken. If there is no acceptable reason for the direct exchange, we can deny it. Both parties must be approved. If incorrect information has been provided on application, the apartment (s) may be terminated in accordance with section 42 of the Rental Act.
Only students at Linnaeus University or an equivalent institution can exchange a student apartment in Växjö. Admission notice and registration certificate must be attached with the application

Note! Exchange of contracts only applies to apartments, any side agreements (for garage, parking places etc.) are not included in the exchange. Inspection of the apartments must be done before a contract is written.
