MitID for businesses

Just like MitID replaced NemID, MitID Erhverv has replaced NemID medarbejdersignatur. MitID Erhverv is for all companies, associations and authorities that have employees or users who need to log in to public self-service solutions as well as enabling them to approve and sign documents securely.

Launched in 2021, MitID was developed by the Danish Authority for Digitisation and Finans Danmark, an organisation representing Danish banks, to address the newest security requirements.

MitID Erhverv is accessible and used in a similar way to MitID private, though instead of verifying a personal number (a CPR-number) you can verify a company registration number (a CVR-number) towards a MitID.

Get started with MitID Erhverv

To use MitID Erhverv the user first needs to be registered on MitID Erhverv as a representative of a business. One can use their private MitID account for this registration or create a separate MitID identity. This functionality is offered by NemLog-in and is thus distinct from the Virk lookup. It is important to note that business owners who can be looked up on the Virk registry do not automatically possess MitID business identity to use this option as a login.
